Ideas for FAYTH

I’m considering a few ideas for how I want FAYTH.org to continue beyond a blog.

I obviously have a huge obsession with Bible Journaling, Journaling in general, and the topic of faith. From the Bible to even beyond the Bible.

I had a few ideas:

Etsy Shop

Physical
- Bibles / Potentially Painted or Customized
- Bible Journaling Supplies
  - Tabs
  - Stickers
  - Highlighters / Pens / Pencils / Cases to Hold
  - Scripture Cases
- Devotionals
- Kids Products (homeschooling or Bible ABCs, or Bible basics)
- Christian Art (Physical or Digital)
Digital → Think this is probably a better route
- iPad Bible Journals
  - iPad Bible (LINKED)
- iPad Bible Journaling Supplies
  - iPad Stickers
  - iPad Customizable Bible Covers
- iPad Supplies
  - iPad Covers (Christian Verses)

I’m not sure if this has anything to do with faith at all, except for providing affirmations and mindfulness meditations, so I think I just need to be a bit more practical about this here

Exploring a generalist faith channel
I’d explore discussing topics generally, which would possibly involve my face or other graphics.

Discuss topics of faith in general
- Christianity
  - Deconstruction, reconstruction, sects, cults, what makes sense and what doesn’t
  - Progressive, word of faith, prosperity teaching
- New Thought + New Age + Wellness Movements
  - ACIM, new age books, gurus, wellness connections
  - Darker arts / witchcraft type stuff
- 12 Step Programs
  - The connection to higher power
  - What God says about alcoholism, drug use, being an upstanding citizen
- My Testimony
- Bible Journaling
  - Physical journaling methods
  - Digital journaling methods

Exploring a specific channel for Journaling (Ex: MuseBible, DesignLifeWell, FaythOrg)
In this case, create content that links just to Etsy shop and online store. NO face.
100% of the content is just surrounding the products themselves, and nothing else.
The thing I’ve seen is that it’s probably best to niche down for YouTube → Etsy or online shop. Because FAYTH is more general, I’m not sure it really makes sense here. Unless I really focus on doing it for the App or for Bible Journaling (Etsy shop) specifically. So I need to really consider that here.

Assuming I stay with these, the digital route seems best. Especially journaling, as I wouldn’t need to use my face.

So here are the final ideas, broken down:

Bible Journaling

PROS:

iPad specific
Niche specific
Probably the easiest to upkeep, as Bibles don’t really change that much over time
There’s a consistent understanding of those who follow the Bible

CONS:

Not a lot to sell on there
Some competition already
Apps change and I need to adjust for that
If it’s just for Bible freaks, that eliminates all other faiths

Generalist Journaling

PROS:

iPad specific
Niche specific
Lots to sell
It doesn’t JUST need to be about Bible journaling and can include other things too

CONS:

Lots of competition already
Apps change and I’d need to adjust for that

Bible Journaling App

PROS:

iPad specific
Never been done before like I want it to be done

CONS:

Very expensive to make
Very hard to sell
Hard to get Bibles that are have copyright laws

PROS:

Connected to my testimony
Short and sweet
Is more general, I can talk about more than just the Bible only, as long as it’s related to faith

CONS:

Not the easiest to explain verbally, that’s “faith.org with a y”

@MuseBible

PROS:

Great to understand Bible Journaling
Really specific for the Bible

CONS:

Muse relates to the Greek goddesses, and considering these are Christians, I don’t want that reference upon my head
If I talk about anything beyond the Bible, like other faiths, this isn’t great. So it would need to be really Bible specific.
