Exploring Paths Forward
Dearest J,
It’s been a minute and next week I’ll be completing my monastic order experience at the Center for Spiritual Imagination. I would technically have completed the 1st phase, which is Candidacy, next is postulancy, and the final would be a 3-year formation program, which I’m not sure I’ll go into.
Overall I’m finalizing next week (as well) my course at the Center for Action and Contemplation, which is Richard Rohr teaching “Breathing Under Water”. Though I have his book, I felt it would be a good course — of course IMHO I think it’s a bit pricey for the amount of content, which is a lot of reading. Oh well.
I have taken a break from my 12-step CODA experience, as well as haven’t talked to my sponsor in a while for reasons I’ll get to in the next paragraph. Next week I’ll check back in.
Basically for the last few weeks, due to some really abusive stuff happening in my relationship, I decided to leave my current state and basically fly to another state, where I remained for a few weeks. I continued to seek unemployment there, and collaborators, and things like that. And it was a great time, because it was generally peaceful. Except for some crazy news stuff happening (which I don’t want to get into on this blog), it was a good experience.
But now I’m back in my old home, and my partner is basically away for up to 2 weeks on work so I’m alone here in the house with the cat.
And I cannot help but question … what is next? For me, for this blog, for my spiritual path, and more-so for the world. I feel like there’s just so much happening and changing in 2025 and beyond in terms of politics. My beliefs have definitely broadened quite a bit, and I feel more “open” or something.
I pulled out a tarot deck and asked questions, but I don’t feel really connected to that. I’ve been learning more about whole-house astrology, and that seems to make a lot more sense. Maybe the tarot is fine, but for now I’m not sure if I believe in it at all.
I still feel shame even mentioning this on the internet, but it’s also good to express it here. Thanks for listening.
