Near Death Experiences

Dearest J,

There’s something so cool about NDE’s and it really ties into a lot of stuff I read about in A Course in Miracles. I myself had an NDE, and a few other very “mystical moments”. And so — I spent my day today looking quite a bit through some of my favorite videos and wanted to share it here!

I was mostly inspired by “Buddha Betty” who had a unique experience and now is all about ACIM.

And quick note on ACIM: I feel the more I study it, the more I can truly APPRECIATE the Bible, Zen Buddhism, and all mystical traditions. Particularly, contemplative practice and the role of meditation as a communing with God. More of that to come in another post.

I recall going to an IANDS (International Association for Near-Death Studies) meeting and one of the few, if not the only person in the room, who actually had an NDE. My NDE was of me seeing my grandma as I was dying, and her saying to me “take care of your sister”. And this was very important I remember her saying. I mean, I can still remember the moment as if it were yesterday. Who knows if it was real or not?

And I had a lot of other experiences and apparitions, some of which when I tell people scares them.

But that’s the beauty of this anonymous space, is it not? I can be honest. I am honoring my story in being truthful here. I am grateful for that.
