It becomes really complicated to make a blog about faith in Jesus Christ outside the Bible, is what I’m definitely realizing. Though I read the Bible on a daily basis, and spiritual texts, it becomes very hard to discuss Christ outside an Evangelical Fundamentalist worldview.
It’s complicated because I think there’s just SO MUCH to deconstruct from religion, which makes it very hard.
In addition, I found myself realizing that I’ve been so interested in the artwork of Tarot (not necessarily predicting the future, but that art) due to the visual stimming aspects of it being neurodivergent. I’m curious about astrology, even though I realize it’s nonsense, and all aspects about the unity of oneness of faiths. I also appreciate science and would consider evolution real. I realize that ALL of these topics conflict with what one would deem actual Christianity, and in fact I would be considered a heretic, an abomination to the Lord, stuck in my sins, and lukewarm.
So basically, it becomes really hard to start separating out the two ideas to have a cohesive blog. I either write about Christianity, and all the nuances of that, or deconstruction, or spiritual ideals outside the faith tradition all together.
I have to pick something, I think the smorgasbord idea is just not going to work here.
I suppose what I really COULD say is that this blog talks about the questioning that comes with Christianity. If a Christian was OPEN AND HONEST about their questioning in the Bible, and the confusion that comes from that instead of not having a space to openly discuss questioning.

The confused (but honest) Christian skeptic.
