Cults to Consciousness: MLMs, Spiritual Bypassing + HP Without Religion

I found this channel and I found it intriguing, because I began falling a lot deeper into “religion” through a short drip of “self-help marketing gurus” online, AKA Marie Forleo, Danielle LaPorte, Gabrielle Bernstein, Kris Carr, and Leonie Dawson among others.

During the pandemic, I started noticing a lot of MALE-led “online guru’s” and realized … wow … this stuff is kind of culty!

This is a great YouTube channel: Cults to Consciousness, where it explores cults!

In it, they said an interesting point:

They embrace a “higher power” that isn’t religious. Embrace what works for you, and leave the rest!

“Mmm … Yeah! That’s very interesting. Jonathan and I both kind of lean in that direction as well … Just having a relationship with a Higher Power without any sort of religious intervention is what makes us happy and feel fulfilled. I think it’s great! Whatever works for you! Like I mentioned, and if you feel like you need the Bible, if you need religion, and you’re thriving and doing well — and helping others — I think that’s at the end of the day, all that really matters.
