Coming to Terms With the New Thought Mvmt
Dearest J,
I purchased “A Course in Miracles (ACIM) and “A Course of Love” (ACOL). And now, I’m like … omg I’m freaking out again by trying to make it all “perfect” and maybe I need to do “Way of Mastery” (WOM) and all this stuff.
Reason being, I’ve been following Earl Purdy for a while, as I had an old ACIM teacher really cite him as a huge inspiration. I suppose he is also teaching at Unity Church, which lo and behold, is very connected to my last weekend.
So yes — this is what I purchased — though I feel like I’ve overdone it again. I should’ve just gotten ONE book, but here I am buying 4 of them!
ACIM
I bought ACIM (and that top left one is the one I’m filling with my own notes. The Sparkly edition I am using in an online group I’m part of, and figured I’d just get it bc it seemed fun.
ACOL
I’m trying to get one that has a similar cover to the CoA edition of my ACIM, and also got just “The Course” for fun, which is kinda like ACIM Sparkly!
A Course on Serenity
(Ironically, I thought to myself, what if I create a book called “A Course on Serenity” LOL! (originally I wanted to use “A Course on Body” but now I wonder if it’s Serenity — as it’s a disrespect to the body, not the actual spark of Christ within you) Miracles, Love, Serenity!

Again, the reason I was even made aware of this is through Earl Purdy, but I’ve found some readings of the steps for this book on Spotify, so I’m more keen maybe to try that before I jump in and pay $33 for the book.
